Letter from Bev Fabri, Bryan Spry's Mother

Your quilt was sitting at my door when I came home from work last night. Oh my what a story it tells! His whole entire life is reflected on this material. The picture in the center caught my eye first. Originally Nick was standing in front of his dad’s fireplace. You changed it to an American Flag background. How beautiful it is. It looks like the professional military portrait they take now.  I never had his military portrait. Would it be at all possible to get a picture of this? You could either mail it to me or email it. I would greatly appreciate it. I have a lady who wants to paint his portrait and that would be a wonderful view of Nick. I will send you a picture of myself with the quilt as soon as I can. I plan to take a picture of the quilt and send it to other Gold Star Mothers. Thank you for this labor of love. It is truly touching to know that my son has not been forgotten by other Americans. Sometimes I feel so alone but now I know that I am not. I am truly grateful for your hard work and thoughtfulness.
