Army Spc. Chad J. Vollmer

Army Spc. Chad J. Vollmer, 24 of Grand Rapids, Michigan, was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 125th Infantry of Big Rapids, Michigan. Vollmer died December 23, 2006 in Salman Pak, Iraq of wounds sustained when an improvised explosive device detonated near their vehicle during combat operations. He died serving during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
