Drexler 23, died in Baghdad, Iraq, when his convoy vehicle hit an improvised explosive device. He was assigned to 91st Engineer Battalion, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas. Died on May 2, 2004.

A large American Hag lowered to half-staff whipped in the chilly wind Thursday afternoon in Memorial Park Cemetery as friends and family gathered to remember the life of Pvt. Jeremy L. Drexler. His brothers. Navy Seaman Tim Drexler. 21. and Marine Lance Cpl. Kenny Drexler, 20. served as pallbearers along with the honor guard from Fort Riley. The honor guard provided full military honors at the graveside service Drexler was posthumously promoted to Private First Class on May 2, 2004.
