Cpl. Russell M. Makowski

Army Cpl. Russell M. Makowski 23, of Union, Mo. was assigned to 4th Battalion, 42nd Field Artillery Regiment, 1st Brigade, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Hood, Texas. He died Sept. 14 2006 of injuries sustained when an improvised explosive device detonated near his dismounted patrol during combat operations in Taji, Iraq.
