Freedom Quilts Heroes

SP4 Vernon Sullivan was raised in a box car with the rest of his siblings. At the age of 5 the state took him and his brothers and sisters. At the age of 18 he was drafted to Vietnam, and since he was small, his job was a tunnel rat. After coming back from Vietnam, Vernon was not the same. It took faith, love, and prayers from his daughter Kary to bring Vernon back. Before Vernon died he received Jesus. Vernon shows us all that God doesn’t give up on us. Vernon had a bait shop, and oh how he loved fishing. Vernon died of cancer on September 5, 2012.

This quilt was made by Freedom Quilts for his family in his honor.
